TS-1 – NANO PHOTO-CATALYTIC COATING
Self -Active Cleaning Powered by Solar Energy
Product Description
TS Technology addresses the root cause of dust accumulation and adhesion on solar panels.
The TS Series is a transparent, photo-catalytic coating based on Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) that imparts properties of sanitation, self-cleaning, and air purification through light. The coating is made of 100% inorganic materials.
The uniqueness of TS technology is the company’s development of an exceptionally strong, durable (over 10 years), and effective photo-catalytic coating with active decomposition properties and Superhydrophilicity. This is achieved using an innovative collaboration with Japanese technology, creating an active solution that, through a layer of 100%TiO2, “burns” and eliminates contaminants.

What Makes TS-1 Unique?
The TS Series stands out due to key advantages:
- Exceptional Strength and Bond: Uses a completely inorganic “binder”, ensuring the coating is not decomposed by the active oxygen it produces, giving it durability equal to the strength of the substrate (over 10 years).
- 100% Titanium Dioxide: The method allows coating with a pure TiO2 layer, providing very high hardness (7H Pencil Hardness) and resistance to wear and scratches.
- High Decomposition Capability: Approved decomposition activity among the highest in the industry, actively eliminating organic and biological threats (bacteria, viruses, mold).
- Marine Environment Protection: The Superhydrophilicity effectively washes away salt particles, protecting the aluminum frame and extending the panel’s life by an estimated 25% in corrosive environments.
Main markets:
Solar panels, facades of high-rise buildings with combined aluminum and glass cladding, office buildings, shopping malls, airports and anywhere with glass.
What is Photo-catalytic Technology?
The technology is based on the use of Titanium Dioxide (TiO2), which, when exposed to light (including UV), acts as a catalyst. This process creates active oxygen, which is capable of decomposing harmful organic materials.
The mechanism relies on 2 central principles:
- Photo-catalysis: The TiO2 particles react with UV light to create active oxygen. This oxygen decomposes/“burns” organic contaminants (like pollen, soot, and organic dirt), turning them into fine dust that is easily washed away.
2 Superhydrophilicity: Water (such as rain or washing) does not bead but spreads over the surface as a uniform, thin layer. This layer efficiently dissolves and carries away any remaining contaminants and salt particles, preventing streaks and residue.
Service Life
The average service life of the coating is over 10 years, subject to environmental conditions and correct application38.
Application Method –
Read and Understand MSDS before Application
Surface Preparation:
- Thoroughly clean the surface from dirt, grease, and dust. Wash with neutralized/reverse osmosis water and dry thoroughly with an air stream before applying the coating.
- New surfaces/panels must also be cleaned out of the packaging.
- For the removal of particularly fine scratches on old panels, it is recommended to use Star Glass 3D glass scratch remover from NanoZ, by polishing with a polishing machine and a short, fine lambskin pad. ( Not need for new panels )
- For deep cleaning, wipe thoroughly with a high-quality microfiber cloth soaked in COMPONENT-A (original nano z product) or IPA-99% to remove grease, saltiness, soot, and finally dry with compressed air
Application Method and Means:
- Required Application Method and Means:
- Use a quality, fine spray gun with a top cup only.
- Nozzle diameter: 1 mm.
- Compressor with the following minimum specifications: 2.5 HP, 170 Liters/Minute output, 50 Liter tank with an air dryer (mandatory).
- Air gun for drying the surface.
- Dispersion/Spraying Method:
- Apply at a distance of 30 – 50 mm from the surface.
- Always apply at a right angle to the surface, at the same distance, and at the same speed. The distance is particularly important.
- Application must also consider wind intensity and direction.
Application on a New Surface:
- Primer: Mix Primer 5-D-1+D at a 50% + 50% ratio. Apply 2 layers.
- Dry with an air stream between each layer and at the end. Avoid dripping.
- Apply at room temperature using a fine spray.
- TS Coating: Apply 3 coating layers.
- Dry with a gentle air stream between each layer and at the end. Avoid dripping.
- Apply at room temperature using a fine spray. Each additional layer will strengthen the coating, but no more than 5 layers. Over-coating may lead to overload and the phenomenon of white spots.
Application on an Old Surface:
- Primer: Mix Primer 5-D-1+D at a 50% + 50% ratio and apply 2 layers. It is mandatory to dry with air between each layer and at the end. Avoid dripping.
- TS Coating: Apply 3 coating layers.
- Dry with a gentle air stream between each layer and at the end. Avoid dripping.
- Each additional layer will strengthen the coating, but no more than 5 layers. Over-coating may lead to overload and the phenomenon of white spots.
Drying, Storage, and Coverage
Drying and Activation:
After final drying, the coating begins to function photo-catalytically from the moment of exposure to light. Rain has no effect immediately after drying.
Storage:
In a cool and shaded place at a temperature of 5-40 C. Material that has frozen is no longer effective.
Coverage Rates:
- Combined Primer: 25-35 sq.m per liter in 2 layers. Minimum required amount in 2 layers: 20-24 grams per 1 sq.m..
- Coating (TS): 30-40 sq.m. per liter in 3 layers. Minimum required amount in 3 layers: 30-36 grams per 1 sq.m.}.
- Note: These are rough estimates. Variations may occur due to wind and other conditions.
